WordPress Web Developer

We are looking for a skilled WordPress developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience building and maintaining WordPress websites, as well as a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and PHP. The candidate should also have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with our team. Duties
- Develop and design web pages
- Develop and design landing pages
- Integrate features to a website
- Find solutions to problems related to web pages
- Make changes on the server
- Create goals in Google Analytics and implement them on websites
- Fix common issues on web pages
- Install features plugins and set them up on websites
- Improve speed of web pages
- Execute project tasks according to timelines and priorities;
- Help to manage and develop relationships with stakeholders and client reps
- Help with identifying and scoping new projects
- Help the marketing team with requests to make changes to websites
- Develop SEO friendly environment
- Help with other tasks as required
Qualifications
- 3 years of web development experience
- Post-secondary degree or equivalent preferred
- Solid experience with WordPress is a must
- Strong knowledge of Divi themes and Elementor
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Strong knowledge in MySQL and PHPMyAdmin
- Strong knowledge of media queries
- Ability to set, achieve, and deliver on targets and deadlines. Experience working in a fast-paced environment; working well under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Good eye for design
- Ability to produce professional documentation and presentations.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Communicate with clients
- Ability to work autonomously to achieve independent outcomes
- Ability to add value as a team member.
- Ability to provide feedback in an honest and constructive manner
- Some experience with Photoshop, Canva, etc. is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of current SEO practices
- Strong knowledge of Google Tag Manager
- Ability to learn independently
- An excellent team player – able to work with and support other team members
Job Type
- Full-time, 6 months contract with an option to be extended
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
Experience
- WordPress (Divi theme development): 3 years minimum; 3-5 years Preferred
- Language- Excellent English (writing, speaking, and reading)
Environment
- Ability to work remotely
- Must be legal to work in Canada
